Hello everyone,
It has been awhile since I last wrote and alot has changed since then, so let me catch you up....First of all we found out that we are expecting our 2nd little girl a few weeks after my last post (June 2010). She is due in 4 weeks now and her name is Teagan Kate. We are so excited for her to get here....especially Addison! Her room is painted a yellow-gold color and her crib and changing table are dark brown. her bedding is red, brown, white, gold and some baby blue...very cute! I am excited for my 2 baby showers next weekend to see what all we get to complete the room and make it feel finished. I go back to the Dr. on Tuesday for my 36 week appointment, so we will see what the dr. says then. But I have been having contractions for the last 2 weeks almost everyday. I have been to the hospital twice, my dr. sent me the first time after I had been sick and throwing up all day to get an iv and have my contractions monitored. That tuesday they were about 2-3 minutes apart and had lasted over 9 hours. Then, 2 days later I went back because I had been having them all day again and when we got there they were 3 minutes apart again. They had to give me a shot both times to make them stop. Since then, I haven't had them for that long consistently....when she checked me that day I was at a 1 and starting to thin out by the 2nd time I went in to the hospital. My Dr. set an induction date for Feb. 23rd, but I am wanting to go into labor by myself without being induced this time...so I am praying she comes before that date!
Outside of being big and swollen ..everything is going great with us! We moved into our new house in June 2010...one year exactly from moving out of our old house (we lived with Jenny and Jimmy during this time). We LOVE our new home and are settled in. We are enjoying the quiet of having only one neighbor within seeing distance and not hearing anything but nature. Addison and I are looking forward to spring, when we can finish planting grass around the house, so we can have our nice big yard to play outside on. She is ready to move her trampoline and swingset over to our house instead of her Grammy and Papa's.
Addison is halfway through her first year of school (Pre-K) and is getting smarter everyday. Though..she has started the "do I have to go to school tomorrow" thing already..and my answer was...Honey, you better get used to going to school everyday, for a long time, because you have about 18 more years to go :) She is having lots of fun though and meeting lots of new friends. I have been able to take off and attend all of her school parties and she really enjoys that! I'm glad my job is flexible in letting me go to things that are important to me like that..it means alot! Addison has been a great student and had great report cards so far..she is learning sounds, numbers, letters, and so much more! It is so fun to see her little mind work in finding rhyming words and words that start with the same letter....too fun!
Leith is still working for Tri-State and they have been really busy lately. He is a great salesman and I am so proud of him. He is also a volunteer fireman for Cedar Country and since OKlahoma has been so dry..fire season is in full force right now. He fought 2 fires last night and was worn out when he got home. Today he went out to the station and cleaned the trucks and everyone but him went to help fight 2 more fires. He loves being a fireman and I am so proud of him for risking his life voluntarily to save others!
I hope this catches you up on our lives for now. I will keep you updated with pics of our new addition when she joins us and post pics of our house soon. We pray that you and yours are doing well. Keep in touch!
Love,
The Steelys
